Very poor and rude customer support

Guys, I would definitely recommend avoiding this service. Especially don’t order subscription online.


I had ordered subscription of Tikona wireless broadband service Tikona ZMR - 2999 plan, online through their website Tikona.in. I made a payment of Rs 3308 via my Axis bank account.


They promise installation within 3 days at your home if payment is made online. However, even after 3 working days, I neither received a password as they mentioned, neither there was any attempt on Tikona’s part to reach out to me.


In fact, when I contacted customer support, they told me that payment had been made via cheque and installation is subject to realization. I told them I had made payment online, they said they are unable to verify the same and I would have to wait for 48 hrs to hear from them regarding resolution.


When I contacted their Nodal office for more information, I was dealt very rudely by their executives, who refused to help me at all. In fact without citing a reason they said I could not speak to the in-charge Mr Ramesh Chander. At the end of the ordeal they told me that work-order for installation has not arrived from Mumbai hence they can do nothing.


Here is email which I have sent to the concerned people and you can see my pain.


I had subscribed for Tikona ZMR - 2999 plan on January 14, 2012. I had made the payment of INR 3308 through Axis Bank online banking, A/C no -xxxxxxxx, iconnect transaction number - xxxxxxxx.


Subsequently I received an email with receipt for the same on January 16, 2012. The receipt number is Receipt Number: xxxxxxxx, the SRF number is xxxxxxxxx. Copy of the receipt is attached. Unfortunately your receipt does not contain following vital information




  1. Date of payment




  2. Mode of payment






As per your website in case payment is made online, the installation is guaranteed to take place within 3 working days. Since I did not receive my password as mentioned on my mobile number and I did not receive any call for installation, I decided to check with your customer care. On calling 1 -800 - 20 - 9 4 2 7 6, I was informed by Mr Swapnil that I had made the payment via cheque and installation was subject to realization.


This was a big surprise for me since I had made the payment online. I requested details on the issue from Mr Swapnil on which I was informed I will have to wait for another 48 hours for any concrete information.


I am sure you will understand my pain on getting this information. I therefore, decided to contact your nodal center in Delhi to get details on my subscription. I had to call 5 times before I got a response from Mr Mohammed Tyagi who very rudely informed me




  1. I am not allowed to speak to Mr Ramesh Chander




  2. The Nodal center does not have details on the transaction






Subsequently, I was told that the work-order for installation has not arrived from Mumbai and therefore installation can not take place.


I hope you sympathize with my pain that even after making the payment online and contacting customer care and your nodal office, I still do not have information on when the installation can take place. Moreover I was dealt very rudely by your Nodal officer Mr Mohammed Tyagi.


Therefore I request you to kindly cancel my subscription and refund the amount paid by me through the online transaction.


I hope Tikona digital will look into the matter so that future customers will not be subjected to this mismanagement.
