Tikona : Seriously NOT RECOMMENDED

This is for all those who are thinking to go in for the Tikona Wi BRO service. I have just one suggestion


NOT RECOMMENDED. And i’ll tell you why.


I had just shifted to Pune and was looking for a good internet connection. Some of the ppl suggested to go for the Tikona connection as it was good. And believe me that was the biggest mistake.


The problems started from Day 1, the Sales guy spoke very sweetly and took the installation amount cheque from me. And after that , there was no response from Tikona as to when would they do the installation. I called up the Tikona office atleast 10 times to get the installation done.


Now the installation guy turns up atleast 2 weeks after I have paid the cheque and does a crappy job , doe to which Internet connection is not working. He leaves saying that he’ll be back the next day , and viola he disappears. I call him on his cell number and he says he’ll be coming in 10 mins as he is near my locality . The 10 mins turn to 3 hrs and he does not turn up. I again call him up and he says that he was not near my locality earlier , can u believe he lied to me.


Now rather Again I had to follow up and they sent some other engineer and fix the connection. ( This was after I called up the sales guy and told him to disconnect the connection)


Now the service works fine for a day and viola there are interrupts again , a number of calls to the customer care office , and they say yes we’ll check , u raise a TT. I have raised N number of TT’s and still no resolution.


Finally the day comes and I decided that I had enough and I disconnected the connection.


( I was a customer of Tikona for only 1 month , so you can understand the kind of service provided).


I file for a refund and ask them to send me the outstanding amount so that I can pay for the period used.


This takes 2 mnths , and atleast 3-4 mails to the Nodal officer. I have already paid the outstanding amount.


After all this till date I have not received the refund cheque and neither has anybody bothered to come to Tikona to collect the equipment after disconnection, inspite of raising plenty of tickets for the same.


To all those who are thinking of this connection , I would not advise the same. The rest I leave it to you.


Also search by the name of Tikona on mouthshut and see the number of reviews on the same.


I hope this will serve as a roadmap for ppl who are thinking of going for the Tikona connection.
