Tikona WiBro is a wireless broadband connection which I was forced to take because the only other connections in the area were BSNL, Reliance and Airtel. Airtel had already cheated on me, so I decided to jump with Tikona. The first 35GB at 4 Mbps is fine, usually. There are times when there are some connectivity issues, but it doesnt last longer than 4 hours. If it does, the customer care usually have no clue what to do either. If they successfully decide that there is a technical glitch causing a connectivity error, then they transfer you to a technical guy, who takes care of the problem remotely.
Despite some complaints, I should give it to Tikona for being almost always on even during the Chennai floods in December. Even BSNL went out, but Tikona made it through most of the tough times, mainly because it was wireless. The downside to wireless is that it will never be as fast as some other ISPs on Fibernet will be. Im stuck with Tikona because none of the others will provide connectivity in Villivakkam. If you get a fibernet connection, Id prefer you go with that. Overall, Tikona is a win if you have limited options.
