I subscribed Tikona broadband plan in February 2012 in Pune. Tikona representatives installed the equipments on 03-03-2012. Then after first month I shifted to a new address nearby to the old address and asked the Tikona customer care to install the equipments at the new address on 23-03-2012. They did it on 13-03-2012. During this period, internet wasnt used by me. But still I paid the bill according to the plan. Then due to their bad internet service, I send an email to cancel the subscription on 14-05-2012. I paid the bill upto May 2012 since internet was used only till May. But they didnt send anyone to take out the equipments.
So I unplugged the cables myself. They sent their representative to take the equipments in July 2012. And had also sent me a bill saying that I have to pay for the month of June. I contacted their customer care and told that I have not used their broadband during that time. They said that they will enquire into the matter. Then they didnt called me for a long time. Now on 12-07-2013, after one year, Tikona has sent me a Demand Notice asking for the payment of Rs. 1640 and the equipment cost Rs. 1500. I have called the person whose number is mentioned in this notice and he talked to me in a very rude manner.
The only option now left with me is to take them to the consumer forum.
