Recently after I moved to Chennai from Bangalore, I took Tikona (2 months back) as no other broadband provider is providing service in Thoraipakkam locality. I was promised that the signal would drop only when the load is high etc. But after the installation is done, I was asked to pay 3500 towards installation and 2 month charges for a 2 Mbps connection.
After payment, it took a week for activation. And then started the horror story. Every time I would call the call center that I was not able to connect, they would promise that they would send a SENIOR engineer next day and no one would turn up next day. When called again they would say that the complaint is closed and a new one would be registered. For a 2 Mbps broadband connection, I didn’t get even 25 Kbps once.
Frustrated with this, I called them after a month and asked them to remove the connection and refund. But I got a termination letter after a month stating that there would be no refund and I have to return the equipment.
I sincerely suggest every one to stay away from Tikona and avoid day light robbery.
