Just before writing my review, I went through some of the other reviews, and I should say that im also a victim of Tikona WiBros worst service. ill come to my experience straight away.
im living in Bangalore, and working as a software engineer. After moving to a new house, I decided to take an internet connection (obviously cheap & best), I saw some posters of Airtel & Tikona broad band service near my area.when I enquired with service agents, I found that Tikona provides better speed in cheaper price. for rs.799, they we giving 750kpbs (unlimited) where Airtel offers 512kpbs for rs. 899. So I decided to go for Tikona WiBro.
I called up agent and expressed my interest for their service. The agent was prompt and came home the same day. He went to terrace and checked signal strength. I was impressed to know that they are having 100% signal at my apartment. So I immediately filled application and handed over rs.500 cheque to him as installation charges. he promised me that they will get the installation done with in 24hrs. Now my waiting period started.
Since even I dint had a expectation of installation been done in 24hrs, I dint bother to disturb till 3 days. After 3 days I called the agent and asked about the status. He always says, the installation engineer is on the way.it took 5days for him to reach my apartment. Then finally, the engineer visited my place and did installation.
Finally I got the installation done, and I was able to see web pages. Wow!! Now the interesting part comes.As soon as installation engineer left (may be after 1hr), I tried to do some browsing. None of the web page was available. I immediately tried to call service engineer who did installation, after so many tries, I got him on phone and he said wait for some more time. if it dint work, raise a complaint with their customer care.
I waited for a day and next day morning I checked the connection, but it was on same state. Down! Then I called customer care and registered a ticket. The guy said, the service engineer will visit my place soon as possible. Nobody turned up on that day.Next day again I called customer care and asked about the status of my ticket, the guy said, their technical team is looking into the matter and my issue will be solved "Soon as possible". The same continued for 4 days. but no further action.
5th Day I called customer care and asked for a senior person, the executive said his senior is on another call and he will call me back in an hour. This never happened. then again I called and insisted that I want to talk to somebody senior, else I wont hang up the call. the executive asked me to be on hold, and after some time he disconnected. The same thing happened for 3-4 times in same day. We should certify their patience of waiting till they disconnect.
I dint give up, I again called and insisted for a senior (thanks for their toll-free number, otherwise I had to pay for my telephone bills too). finally I got a senior person, and after I shouted at him (showing myfrustration) he promised me that the next day, somebody would visit my place and sort out the issue which again never happened.
Just think of my situation, where I got an internet connection which dint work from the day-1, and after complaining, nobody responded for more than two weeks (till now). This is same as I never had a connection. but still I have to pay for something which I dint get. Great business idea by Tikona !!!im planning to take another connection (probably airtel, bcoz I heard their after sales service is good)
I think, my review were little big, but I think I could cover my experience in it. I wish, if I could read mouthshut.com reviews on Tikona before opting for their service. I might be saved :-(.I just want to warn you guys, who are planning for Tikona. Pls dont go for it, or you will end paying up for nothing and with endless trauma. I dont wish to recommend any other connection, leaving it on own choices.
BUT PLS DONT TAKE TIKONA Broad Band !!

Once the company comments on my post, that too after 2yrs??, the issue would be considered as resolved ??
My issue is still not resolved, and im not looking forward for Tikona service any more. because im using Airtel broadband after my experience with Tikona, and I never faced any complaints till now.
