Sales executive came to my Flat on 30/10/2009.
He has explained lot more about Tikona and he told me that if we book today, you will get a 300/- cash back in first billing. And he promised me that connection will be activated within a week. After so many calls to Tikona customer care and area manager(Sales executive never lifted his mobile after I gave him all documents), we got a connection on 27/11/2009. Now story begins.
I took 299/- circuit breaker plan. Tikona is calculating the data transfer rate in MBs. Just you connect & disconnect it will show 1MB. If you connection is lost due to power supply or Wi-Fi failure it will show as a 1MB. While surfing if you are data transfer rate is about 1.001 MB, it will calculate as 2 MB. It means if you are connected and disconnected for 100 times in a month you will lose 100 MB from your quota. I was using BSNL broadband for 7 years. My surfing never crossed 500~600 MB per month including I complained the same to customer care. They called me and gave me a service request. Area manager came to my flat to know the exactly problem. When I showin him, he him self is surprised and promised to raise this issue to Top management and get back you soon. Till one moth is over. Customer care or Area manager is not responding to mails and phone calls.
Second Issue: It will not connect for first time. Sometimes you need to try for 10~15 times to connect the Wi-Fi.
I put a request for termination for my connection. For this also they are not responding.
My 7+ years of Broadband usage lesson is go for BSNL. You may encounter service issues but rest is lie transparency in data transfer rate, speed and security is the best.
