Worst Ill-Informed Customer Care

Though rarely I would need the service from TIkona, but due to official purpose I took this connection as a back up. The sales guy assured that they would definitely come to help if there’s any issue. So I guess by know you know where I am heading. Never did the sales guy came to resort. The customer service DIDN’T KNOW WHAT IS VOIP. I was like what you don’t know. Anyway Tikona doesn’t support VOIP so don’t get into their trap. I saw somewhere in the internet that if I apply for a static IP with the ISP provider I might get proper VOIP but thankfully a salesperson honestly helped me save money on the static connection as it wouldn’t be of any help and further expose me to more spam and hacking.


Next I wanted to get the service disconnected after keeping it for 5 months, I made my last payment and had put in the notes section that I wouldn’t be making anymore payments as I wanted to disconnect and also called customer care.  Probably 10 times I called to make sure that the connection got disconnected but they didn’t disconnect it and then someone or the other kept calling from sales or technical department asking ’madam why do you want to disconnect’.....infuriating as it sounds frustrated I was left. I kept getting bills for the service I never used, rather didn’t wanted to use but they kept sending bills, so I ignored. The billing department harassed me each and every day for the payment and I kept telling them that I have already disconnected the service. Pissing off it was that I had sent an email to the customer care and they replied saying they will look into the matter.


After 5 months of request to disconnect and illegitimate bills coming in, I suddenly got a call while travelling from some fraud person claiming to be an advocate in Hazaribaug court saying that there is a case registered under my name by Tikona and I have to make a payment immediately for the case to get suspended and I should have received the court notification for that. I immediately made the payment thinking that let the case subside why to meddle around unnecessarily, Highly disappointed I wrote to their customer care again to which they didn’t replied back. I even decided to move to consumer court for the harassment. I never received any court proceeding information which the advocate assured off. Then the customer care woke one day and called me saying that ’mam we received your disconnection request and we will work on it’ I literally gave a good shouting to that representative, so much so that I got a headache that day. Guess what after few days again I got an email with the bill and a message that your account is active. I am at loss to speak anything anymore, I don’t know how to react to this now.


Don’t buy Tikona else you would be in a deep trap!!!
