I have been using Tikona for 6 months now, and hardly has a day has passed when I have not faced a problem.
- The network is super bad, they are duping people off their money by promising plans of 4Mbps, when they can not even provide speeds of 512kbps.
One thing is that at odd hours like 3 am the speed is relatively better which just goes to show that they are cheating people by giving out more connections than their capacity, so at peak hours you are bound to face problems. So if you are getting decent speeds initially then it is about time when they cheat more people and hand out more connections than their capacity.
The customer care support is pathetic and they will say the drilled lines whenever you call, ask you to reboot the router, PC, POE etc, and then at the end will say there is a problem with the tower and will be fixed in 4 hours but that would never happen.
The toll free line is never reachable and one has to call on the tolled line, which keeps you on hold for 10 min and then several times hang up your call saying that the number has been recorded and a call can be expected in the next 24 hours, which obviously doesnt happen.
The funniest thing is when I raised a request for disconnection they said that they would monitor my account for 15 days. I did not want that and wanted instant removal, but they said that it was procedure and had to be followed. So it seems being slow and late is the philosophy of Tikona.
My recommendation, shell out a few extra bucks and get a different network, because you anyway end up paying the difference amount on your mobile bill trying to seek help from Tikona.
Tikona gives you a lot of mental tension, very poor connection and support and eventually you end up paying way more than what you use, not to mention the loss of work, important assignments that you miss, which cannot be quantified in terms of money.
This scam should be highlighted and circulated all over the country.
If you want peace of mind then DO NOT TAKE TIKONA!
