Slow speed and pathetic support by Tikona

Hello Everyone,


I am writing this review after getting tired of shouting and talking with the idiotic Tikona Wibro support, Its been two months since I had this connection. so let me tell you how it happened.


Before subscribing for connection:


I was told that there will be a speed demo and then if I am satisfied with the service I can take it. The representative called me and told me that only if you buy the subscription we can show you the demo. I tried negotiating with him saying that if there is no feasibility then I’ll have to run around you guys to get my money back. He said that only if there is feasibility they’ll provide connection otherwise not. I agreed to this because it seemed logical.


So next day this guy visits my place tells me that there is good chance that I have good feasibility here and start fixing up antenna and everything. They fix these things and show me a demo, I must say speed was really good. and I subscribed for this connection and for 2 to 3 days I got good speed, then the whole thing started going to hell.


Almost every night the connection started loosing bandwidth, I opted for 4mbps connection, and I use to get around 400kbps. I called Tikona support they send out an so called engineer, and he just relocates the antenna(roof top device as its called by Tikona guys), and says that within one hour my connection will be back to normal, but you guessed it right, it didn’t from then onwards almost every single night I have called them and they do some trouble shooting make the connection ok and we disconnect the call. But after 20 minutes the connection goes down again.


I am so tired and frustrated that I called them to get it disconnected, they convince me saying that they’ll send out an engineer and get it rectified, the engineer comes on saturday and to my surprise says that there is a problem with the bandwidth not the roof top device. So I called Tikona again and they gave a number of an engineer who is suppose to visit my place on Sunday to rectify this problem. I call this guy almost 10 times but he did not answer my call on Sunday and whole of Sunday the speed was s*tty.


So since I had to go out, I leave it to that and didn’t use internet after that, I connect today(Monday) and I had very interesting conversation with the tech support guys. He told me that for a 4mbps connection promised speed is not 4 mpbs but ranges between 2 to 4mbps, and depends on the load(peak load) what speed you get. so according to him its depends on the peak time, but that is no where mentioned while buying the connection. then he started bullshitting me about contention ration, to which I told that I know what contention ration is very well. Till now I still face this network problem. DO NOT I REPEAT DO NOT SUBSCRIBE FOR TIKONA WIBRO CONNECTION. and moreover I get a mail today saying that my issue is resolve and they want to confirm it. they close complaints without even resolving the issue.


Please find the attached image that shows the tikona super speed on 4mbps connection. I will soon share my audio recordings of the conversation with the tech support guy.
