In the earlier 90’s, if you wanted a good sense of what’s happening around the world, you used to either read the TIME or listen to BBC. However, after 9/11 , TIME has become a kind of american mouthpiece. Even TIME asia has comments like, eg... jakarta is a sure no-no for american tourists. And to think that TIMe is regarded as the best weekly in the world. I would definitely recommend NEWSWEEK over TIME. TIME has also decided that contervorsial comments are good for sales leaving their age old practice of ’good reporting’ to the wind. Time should get back to the basics of asking the right questions and finding the right answers. Time is more concerned about Northern America to be concerned about the rest of the world...
