26 December 2012 update - For all who have made payment on timtara.com and have not received product in 3 weeks (their standard delivery time for most of products), also not received refund even after delivery time and
asking for it. They offer BEST of discount online, but normally products have very small defect, which can not be caught easily. Also they take orders while they are in the negotiation from the supplier, which is WRONG. On internet shopping as per LAW, merchant site should not take orders if product is not in their stock. I hope following information help you.
1) If you have made credit card payment. Immediately call your credit card support and ask for Card member Declaration Form (CDF). Normaly they will send you link of it on their site. Fill up details in that form and FAX or EMAIL or POST them. Credit card company will provisionally credit disputed amount immediately within a week. They will also start investigation on your CDF form and will get back to you in 45 days.
2) Another option is to write their payment gateway which is (https://atomtech.in/index.aspx), their email is helpdesk@atomtech.in. Copy other fraudsters from timtara, kangan@timtara.com, amit@infosecure.co.in, tanu@timtara.com I dont know who the hell other are. But one of them from timtara will reply, or follow up with ATOM helpdesk. Payment gateway (who collect credit card money for them, which is ATOM now, and might change in future) will force timtara to initiate refund. As no payment gateway will like to associate themself with fraud website.
3) Go to website consumercomplaints.in and register your complain. It seems it is NGO fighting for consumer cause. They say they dont take money unless we get our money back, and standard amount they charge is Rs 365/-. They call after registering complaint and I talked to them. As per their suggestion I tried to get my money first by above two methods. After getting money back, we can proceed with them for any compensation from timtara.com for the period they blocked your money, like interest on it and mental agony caused to you. May be bank debit card payers or direct debit through bank website people may talk to them first, as for them may be this is the only way to get money back.
4) Register police complaint against timtara.com . They are headquartered at following address. So send all copies of relavent document with one covering letter by courier/speed post to Noida

You may inform payment gateway (ATOM) as in step 2 above that you are going to register police complaint against timtara, and if ATOM do not co-operate they will include them as well in complaint.
Normally they force merchant (in this case timtara.com) to honour customer complaints.I hope this helps who have lost money with timtara. Do not forget to make police complaint and seek compensation from consumerdesk.in in addition to your original money lost. I got first and worst internet shopping experiance with this site in last 10 years.

I bought BSNL Penta tablet from this site as it was offering the cheapest. But it could be factory QC failed product as per western standards. there is one damaged pixel, which shows green color when screen is black. but it is ok, and can not be noticed easily. may be that is how timtara is offering discount on this product. as one damaged pixel might have failed QC.
website service is horrible. item was shipped one wk after order. although website shows 3 wks shipping time. I was under impression that it will be shipped in 2-3 days. I had to fight over phone for cancellation, which I was told that will happens only after 21 days, another strange rule, that u can not cancel unshipped item immediately but have to wait 21 days. cleverly they shipped it same day I had arguments, I accepted package, as I was not sure abt their refund. they dont look trustworthy. I think ebay.in customer service is much better, as ur money is with ebay until u get product as described and in well defined timeline. I should have bought on ebay itself, my mistake that I tried timtara.com
