I want to warn people about the bad service that Timtara provides.
I came across this site through Junglee.com since I was US based for some years and I loved amazon coming to India through Junglee. I read that one of the major retailer/seller at Junglee was Timtara.
In the month of April 2012 I was looking for an BAJAJ OVEN TOASTER GRILLER. I found it on Timtara and decided to order since it being NO.1 in user experience.
So I placed the order on 11th April 2012. After two days I got the update that they are awaiting shipment. I thought I will wait for sometime. Now after waiting for like 4 months in the month of July I went ahead and bought the oven from somewhere else.
After 4 1/2 months suddenly one day I get the oven couriered from Timtara.com. I checked my mail but there was no intimation about the order being shipped. Neither did I receive any phone call from them regarding the dispatch of order. Otherwise I would have made it clear to them that after waiting for more than 4 months I have already gone ahead and purchased the oven.
I sent the couriered oven back and called them up to request for a refund but the only thing the customer service person said was Sorry we cant do anything. I requested that please get me in touch with your manager but they said that the managers are all busy with other customers and will call back within 24 hrs. Now already 48 hrs have passed but I have received no calls from them.
Now they have deducted Rs 4599 from my account and are not even bothering to help resolve this situation.
I have always been an online customer since having 3 kids makes it difficult to visit the shops. I have dealt with many sites like Firstcry.com, Mybabycart.com, Homeshop18.com etc. They always called when the order was dispatched. And I always received the orders within a week.
But Timtara.com didnt found it important to call for an order that should have shipped in April 2012 but was shipped in August 2012.
PLS DEAR READERS DO NOT INTERACT WITH THIS SITE SO AS TO AVOID THE MOST PATHETIC CUSTOMER SERVICE. AND IF YOU STILL WANT TO INTERACT WITH THEM ALWAYS SELECT THE CASH ON DELIVERY OPTION OTHERWISE YOU WILL BE IN FOR A RIDE.
INSTEAD OF BEING NO.1 IN USER EXPERIENCE ITS THE NO.1 DISAPPOINTMENT FOR THE USER.
UPDATE: Till today 13th September 2012 I have received no resolution and no refund from TIMTARA.COM.
