I placed an order for a Canon camera after being lured by their discount deals and what a blunder it turned out to be.Firstly, before placing the order I had called up their support staff to enquire about whether Id have to incur Octroi charges.I was assured that Octroi would be taken care of at their end. Ten days after placing the order I called up their staff to find out the status of my order and again enquired about the Octroi.I was stumped when the executive told me I would have to pay whatever Octroi charges were there which in this case would amount to around Rs 2000 .
Suddenly the deal didnt look very attractive and I decided to cancel the order because one thing I wasnt too sure about how much Octroi I would be charged( on some occasions I had been charged about 40% which is ridiculous);secondly I wasnt too sure when they would deliver my order.It had already been 10-12 days from the date of order and none of emails and correspondence were being responded to.Today, day 14, I again called up the call centre to enquire about the cancellation and I was greeted by a very rude executive who was very incoherent and ill-tempered .He cut the phone on me and wouldnt pick up my call.
