This company is very unprofessionally run, does not deliver what they promise, terrible in their service and response to queries and at the end there is a big risk of getting a defective product.
I bought a Samsung smartphone from this shop recently. My decision was mainly based on the Rs 4000 discount that they were offering as part of their ’Mega Sale’. The shop allows one to buy items with or without registration. So I bought without registering at the site. It was made clear at the time of purchase that the delivery will be after 10 to 15 working days. But the phone was delivered after a month, that too after many calls to their customer service number and service requests at their portal. We can not email them, everything has to be routed through the portal as a service request. And there lay part of my travails. The moment I select in the service request form that this is a query related to an order, system expects me to find the order number after logging into the portal. Because I had bought it without registration, I was unable to log in and that meant every time I had to use some other, less relevant, category while raising the service request. Needless to add, while Timtara is very prompt with the automated reply that they will get back soon on the query (No time line for the response is given). they are very reluctant to respond to the service requests.
From the very first day of using the smartphone, it started giving problems. All of a sudden it would stop recognizing the SIM and I have to restart the phone to get it working. After observing for a week I contacted Timtara via phone and service request but they did not respond. After constant follow up I got an email to say that I should take it to a service center. By then I was tired of chasing and gave up. So now I am saddled with a defective phone which I am taking for repair within 2 weeks of buying it. In all probability Timtara has sold me a refurbished phone which could explain the huge discount they were able to offer.
I have learnt a lesson costing 20k that I should not run after such shady companies just because they offer a good discount.
