Hi guys. As we all know, smartphones have become a necessity for our generation. Person of every age group is using a mobile and they just cannot live without it. Many people use the phone for texting, calls, making bank transactions, exchanging important documents, etc. So, it is important to buy a phone which suits your needs well. The phone you are buying should match your mental personality and your lifestyle. HERE ARE SOME TIPS:
-First things first. "The MAJOR QUESTION".
Android/IOS? - I have been a part-time mobile enthusiast and have used a lot of phones. From my point of view, it depends on your budget as well as your requirements.
iOS does not allow a seamless file transfer between android mobiles and windows laptops. Iphones have a great built quality and performance, but the less popularity of Appstore in India is a disadvantage. You have to pay for most of the apps. iOS is secure but android too has too improved in this field now a days.
On the other hand, Android is fast, seamless file transfer, free apps, tweaks, mods, custom roms, etc make this OS really realiable and USER FRIENDLY. The power of android lies in its power of CUSTOMISATION. It is way more intuitive than iOS and you can practically do anything with Android.
Now, Ask yourselves. Ask yourselves about what are you going to do with the new phone? What do you expect from it? Are you going to use a lot of social media/chatting/youtube or are you going to exchange files/make bank transactions/manage your business or are you going to use it for studying?
Whether you are watching videos, playing games or studying, The most important thing which matters here is THE DISPLAY. Pick the phone with right display. Now-a-days, 1080p displays are available in a low budget but 4K AMOLED Displays are truly good on the eyes. The colors are accurate and the display should be vibrant even in daylight outdoors.
Do a internet research before buying one or check out "real life usage" reviews on youtube about display
Battery is another important criteria and do consider a battery of 3300mAh atleast. Turbo/Fast charging feature would be a cherry on the top!
RAM is an important specification most people miss out on. Consider phones with Rams with or above 2GB Atleast. Apps are getting heavier day by day and More the Ram, faster the multitasking
Storage - If you are a student and do a lot of pdf file transfer or a media maniac who would love to watch movies, then do buy a PHONE WITH MEMORY CARD SLOT! If you are not going to handle large files, then inbuilt storage of 32GB would suffice!
Speaker - It should be loud and not cracking. Many phones have single speakers but only a few have them will have good audio quality. So before buying one, do just for its speaker manually.
Bluetooth - Check for a higher version of bluetooth on the box. The latest bluetooth 5.0 transfers file with twice the speed of bluetooth 4.0 With higher versions, the speeds get better.
Touch - Touch of the should be responsive. MULTI-TOUCH would be good as most of the games can be played relatively easy. Check that touch is not sticky/irresponsive/lagging
Performance - Consider buying "stock android instead from companies which load up your phone with ads and bloatware. Cos like Samsung, lenovo, micromax, etc. load up their phones with self made bloatware. Even Flagships of Samsung(above 50k rs) start slowing down after a years use. STOCK ANDROID is clean, fast and responsive. No extra apps are pre-installed. Motorola, Google, OnePlus and Xiaomi phones are providing a near-stock experience.
I would prefer shopping from an ONLINE website because you are exempted from unnecessary taxes. If you want to inspect a phone physically, then go to a mobile store which sells quality products. Dont buy from china mobile phone markets(like we have jagdish market in hyderabad)
LEAVE the shop if the owner is forcing you a lot to buy a mobile phone. Do enough internet research from sites like gsmarena, phonearena, etc.
BUYING a good phone is a complicated task now a days. Do refer to a person who is aware of the current market status of the phone. PHONE WHICH Lots of advertising and cheap price do possess some serious disadvantages. They lack in one area or the other.
So guys, Hope you found my tip(s) helpful. Thanks for reading. Cheers!
