Each of us have always faced a problem when buying heels that initially when we walk a few steps in the store, they seem comfortable but when worn to an occassion on continued use the pair punishes the feet with all types of problems like pain in the curve of the foot, shoebite etc.
Choosing the shoe itself:
Now, there are some tips on finding that perfect pair of shoes. When choosing heels the detail remember(mind it this is the secret) is that when you wear them and even while your walking, the curve of the shoe should be perfectly aligned to the curve of your foot, that is your entire foot from toe to heel should rest completely on the curve of the shoe. Any gaps found would cause severe damage to the foot itself and cause a lot of pain, thus also increasing the risk of chronic back problems.
The same concept applies to boots, whatever you choose should wrap perfectly around your leg, it the boot is loose then it gives space for your foot to twist and if you fall then it could break the fragile tendons on your foot. The boot itself should be of perfect size, if it is too tight then that also causes a problem as it will make walking very difficult.
Choice of leather:
Leather choice is as important as the shoe itself, choose a leather which is medium tough when choosing boots, because certain leathers crease very easily with even the most minimal usage and hence make boots look very badly maintained. Go for fine cow hides or tougher leathers; goat naapaas are generally more prone to develop ugly creases.
Suedes look very good and are beautiful, but also note that they are very prone to staining even with water, attract dust, and if they remain in damn conditions then fungus prone as well. Cleaning suedes is extremely difficult unless you are abroad where there are special leather cleaners who clean leather shoes and offer de-wrinkling services for boots.
*Quality:
When buying shoes always remember to check the stitching and finishing. **Any loose threads or bad stitching could adversely affect the life of shoes. Checking clasps in sandals is also important so that they dont injure the feet or the clothes when being used.
Boots come mostly with zip closures, always check the stitching on the zips carefully to avoid any tearing off on continued use of the pair.
