The Gifting Protocol

Beforste we start talking any thing about  ’ The best corporate gifts’ that can be given to serve a various business goals, We need to understand one thing very very clearly There is no single gift that will serve the purpose across the line.

So, What do we do to decide what gifts will be the best ones-WE PLAN. Thats right like all other corporate activities are strategised and planned even’ Corporate gifts’ should be well planned. OK! Lets get to the point, How do we plan. For an effective gift planning we need to hunt answers for the following questions.

  1. What category of business associate is to be gifted.

a. External Customer b. Internal Customer c. Vendor/Supplier d. Influencer( Like consultants etc)

The answer to above would help us determine the relevance of gift eg. Pen drive as a gift may make sense to Final customer but may not be of much relevance to a transport contractor-So put yourselves in the shoes of gift receipeint and think what gift would please you most.

2.What is criticality of the gift recepient to your business progress? Quantum of Postive or negative effect that this person can exert.

The Answer to the above question will help you decide the spending necessary for the gift.

  1. What is the Corporate budget for the gift?-

From question number 2 we get to know the amount that is worthwhile spending on a particular gift for a particular person. From This question’s answer we understand’ The Actual amount’ approved by the corporate office. Try striking a balance between the two-You may want to gift a Laptop to your client your corporate may have budget only for a penset-what do you do in this case-Gift a mobile by convincing the corporate about the criticality.

  1. What Nationalism does the gift recepient belongs to, Whats the relegion he follows?

This becomes very important in todays era of Global business, where in large number of misunderstandings may happen because of cultural diffrences.e.g you gift a white shirt to a Chinese client( White is colour representing death in China), Instead of improving the business relation that client may get offended.

Always remember-Costlier the better never holds true for the corporate gift Infact some times if you give a very costly gift, the customer may consider it as form of bribe and you may end up loosing a sure shot contract.Judge the person you want to gift.

Having gone through the simple questions mentioned above, you may have  eshortlisted 2-3 options for the gift. Now use the most advanced software

in world to chose 1 from the above 3. Wondering! Which SoftwareThats  right, use Intution+ software coded by the almighty himself.

So what are you waiting for, Go ahead, Gift well and Grow well.
