I personally resides in mumbai my self financial condition is poor. completing my degree from bsc ( physics) I am taking admission at kalina campus for my msc in physics.Talking about distance education for science student which get classified under various branches under specific subject as follows :
1) . Remember science get categorised under 4 main subject physics ; biology; chemistry and maths ( I am talking about plain stream or main stream science subject because subject like IT ; geography is for those who take bifocal subject.)
2) when admission has been done on the basis of merit list selection process remember in kalina their is IDOL which you could enquire in office it is an distance learning process in which only for mathematics subject available since mathematicians do not have to perform practicals while the other branches have to perform.
3) If you are thinking that other branches like physics ; chemistry ; biology have distance learning process ; then my answer is No since we have to perform practicals although if we not seating at lectures its ok but for practical its coumplsory to attain at least 75% attendence or u are failed.
4) All such information are given under counselling session which is taken by various department under which branch we are joining as my first counselling session was over in kalina campus or in mumbai university while second is still to be happen at 8th august so that what type of syllabus under my subject will be disscussed in detail by teachers. thank you.
