India has the potential, but translating the potential into reality needs political will and bold decisions, which countries like China are willing to take.
Competition in our country arrived too late. We were once upon a time governed by monopolies which did not provide good basic services in the right way to our doorsteps. Still we have monopolistic approach in many areas. It is only recently that we have private operators in places like electricity and telecom. Competition gives us the gut instinct and makes us stronger in the global arena.
Because we come to know of our value only when there is competition. And this has made us realize today that we are far far behind the Chinese, Koreans and of course Japanese. We need to motivate ourselves now and then and lead our lives with a new approach. We have to work towards an elevated path to success in terms of technological harmony and cultural co-existence.
Each individual’s contribution towards the nation has to be adding value to the society. Individual efforts when brought together result in well developed ethics and define the very focus of human existence into a higher realm.
