After reading a few reviews about Dr. Batras Clinic, I thought to let people know something about Homeopathy in general vis-a-vis the so called treatments offered by the likes of Dr Batra. Although I have never visited Dr Batras Clinic I happened to visit one Dr Dubeys clinic in Kolkata during 1999-2000 for my medical problems. After undergoing treatment for nearly 2 years and spending thousands of Rupees without any relief, I stopped taking treatment from him. A simple description regarding mode of diagnosis each time I used to visit will give a clear picture. As I entered the Doctors Chamber , I would find 5-6 Junior Doctors sitting inside . Most of the time , Dr. Dubey was not present. Then one of them will read out my details from a case history notebook which I had to bring every time I visited. Next he will ask my present condition. If Dr Dubey was there, he will close his eyes for a minute, then simply ask to repeat the medicine. If he is not there, the juniors didnt take any chance, they always preferred to simply repeat the same medicine prescribed by Dubey , say one years back.
The problem, I feel , is deeper than thought.
First of all, should we believe the homeopathic system of medicine?
The answer, according to me, is YES. The reason, I am going to tell.
So, should we believe the Homeopathic doctors?
There lies the problem.
You cant believe everyone. Why ?
Unlike allopathy, homeopathy didnt have an organised mode of studies until a few years back when Govt of India decided to start Joint Entrance exam for students willing to study Homeopathy and offered BHMS degrees( Bachelor of Homeopahic System of Medicine) similar to MBBS. Before that there were many semi Govt funded private run Hoeopathic colleges who were offering degrees like DMS , DHMS, RMP etc etc. Naturally, fake qualifications were random. There were places where just spending some money would make you a Homeopathic doctor.
However, Its not that there are no good Doctors with qualifications like DMS etc. But the number of such good Homeopathic physician is very very less. That is the reason, we rarely come across a Homeopathic physician who is really good.
Now with the starting of structured BHMS course through JEE , it seems that situation will be changing. But there is also a catch. Most of the good students willing to study medicine will prefer MBBS/MD degrees rather than BHMS. Only those who cant get chance to any medical college may think about homeopathy. Naturally you can understand the quality of most of the BHMS doctors.
So be very cautious when you decide to visit a Homeopathic doctor. Only if he has proven record of curing a number of patients, you may decide to visit him.
Now regarding the Homeopathic system.
Just for curiosity, I started reading one Homeopathic book, but now I am an avid reader.
I am not a doctor, but I sometimes prescribe medicines only for myself and my family members for very common ailments like cough and cold, skin rashes, body pain, headache, migrane etc etc. And to my astonishment, it works like miracles. As I am not a doctor so I dare not to treat serios medical problems myself. This is the reason, my faith in Homeopathy has increased. And I always search a very good Homeopathic doctor where ever I go.
To those people who want to treat hair falling problem through Dr Batras Homeopathic clinic --------------- THERE IS NO MEDICINE IN HOMEOPATHY WHICH CAN STOP HAIR FALLING OR GROW HAIR OVER A BALD HEAD. So dont fall in the trap of the businessman like Batras.
My advice, either go for a costly hair transplant or just accept the change is life.
Bald head can make people more attractive, u know .
