Ah, a lot easier said than done. Anger is such a dangerous emotion. If we could harness all the anger in the world and use it for fuel, wed never have a fuel shortage!
There are many ways toharness and control you anger.for me I write! I write letters filled with all my anger directed towards the person I am angry with.but, I do not send them. It helps me let it out without hurting another person in the process. When I calm down I can then rationally speak my feelings and usually work things out.
Some people lash out with harsh words or actions that they feel horrible about afterwards. And can never take those words or actions back. If only they would have written it down before and reread what they wrote, they would realize that anger towards another doesnt help anything.
Think before you speak!
You get angry and throw things and break things.Hmmmmmm, what does that prove? Now you just have to go out and re purchase what you broke. When you feel like throwing something or breaking something out of anger.stop! Pick up something like a pillow and beat the chair with it. It helps get out your anger and I doubt if the pillow will break anything. And it will give you time to think.
Think before you throw!
Someone angers you to a point that you want to physically hurt that person. Can it be that bad? What would you gain from hurting someone? In the long run you would be the one to pay.Either Dr. bills, hospital bills or lawsuits. But you would always pay in your own mind.
Think before you throw the first blow!
Anger can be controlled if you think before taking action.
As reasonable, thinking human beings we should not revert back to how animals lash out in anger towards each other. We have the ability to think before we say or do anything. Thats what are highly evolved brains are for!
So always THINK, use your brain before your anger causes any type of pain.Physically or emotionally.
After all, life is too short in the first place!
