5 Foods to munch your way through this Monsoon!

The monsoon have officially arrived and we can’t deny the fact that they are more than special to us. The cool and damp climate brings a relaxing and comforting moment between the scorching summer and chilling winters. With vibrant and bright colors all around from umbrellas to trendy flip flops, monsoon brings a host of food cravings. While some of you may want to get drenched in the rain and some would simply want to sit at home and enjoy the weather outside, but none of you can turn your back to the hot and mouth-watering refreshments served in this weather. Here are some of the yummiest snacks that will send comfort signals down your soul:

1)  Pakoras

Pakoras need no introduction. Rains and pakoras go hand in hand. These deep fried pakoras have the ability to pep up your mood. You can have a variety of pakoras which include onion, potatoes, paneer, methi, cheese. Sit by the window with a plate full of pakoras and munch on guilt-free with a chutney dip.

2) Maggi

For all maggi lovers who think there’s no other food as quickly available as maggi, this is the ultimate treat you can give yourself during monsoon. As toppings, you can also add butter and cheese spread and enjoy the slurp. And as the saying goes, “Taste bhi, Health bhi”, Maggi is healthy and nutritious.

3) Piping Hot Soup

During a downpour, no other dish will make you feel as good as a bowl of hot soup. Apart from being really warm and soothing, soups are easy to make and are extremely healthy.

4) Bhutta

For a rainy day snack, nothing matches a roasted bhutta with dullops of butter and mirchi on it. Bhutta is the true flavour in Indian monsoons. Though corn is a summer crop, its salty and tangy taste is most relished in the rains.

5)  Ice Cream

Yes, you read it right! Monsoon is the best season to indulge in a large tub of rich creamy ice-cream. Nothing can be as heavenly and comforting.

If you have tried these then you and I think alike. If you haven’t, then the weather is just right to get started with pakoras. Happy munching!
