I bought a Butterfly Induction stove 9 months ago, very happy with it, no service problem yet; in butterfly alone, timer is in sec and not minutes; 5, 10, 15.sec upto 180 sec(3mts); induction cookers save 30-40% gas; shortens cooking time by almost 50%(rice 15 mts, hot water/milk 2 mts), we cook fully on induction cooker including frying, cooker usage, idli making etc.
Recently I bt Prestige, no problems for past one month, let me report on this after 3-6 months; Preeti also has introduced one now but I think Prestige might be better; given a choice I wd still choose Butterfly again because of past experience.
All these need 15A plug with thick cable, means it should not be plugged into a 5A plug with an adaptor; it still works in 5A, nothing happens most of the time, but 15A is safer since it has a wattage>1000W. most of these have 1900-2000 Watts. Most of the cooking can be done in 700-1100 watts at about 150-160 degrees.
