LPG conversion Kits: It is a question for a car owner. First of all almost 90% conversion centers do not have know how about their own kit. They do not assure prompt consumption pattern. All they tell you is 2kms less that petrol consumption pattern. Not only that during conversion they do inferior quality work every where. Customer/ owner realize it after 3 to 4 months.
They cut original wire harness and use poor quality sockets or just leave the joint with insulation tapes. Insulation tapes do not last long and short circuit or open circuit takes place, loading your pocket at some other garages. Arrangement of solenoid switch and vaporizer is not standard and vary from customer to customer. This is troublesome especially when you offer your car top other garage for some other issues. This garage mechanics find great difficulty while in work and they tamper the GAS component for their ease. Finally car owner pay for all this. On the top of it our Government do not support so called green fuel as cost of LPG is almost Rs34/liter. Hardly any difference between petrol and gas. One has to retrofit LPG buy studying other LPG cars, find out abnormalities and ensure to avoid those in our own car.
Also get guaranteed consumption pattern. Also I suspect that LPG stations are playing prank on fuel meters. I could not prove but I went to a filling station and the attendant go on pumping beyond 46 lts though my tank capacity is 40 lts! I operate my car on LPG with marginal savings over petrol.
