LG CD ROM’s are no doubt at poor performer than others but the cost is lowest in the market. When companies fight on price, naturally they drop some quality. LG service is very good so there is no problem. You get immediate hand to hand service if there is tray problem or slight reading problem, otherwise they take 4 to 6 hours if some parts are changed.
Quality is directly related to price of the product. An example related to computers is: The performance of Intel Original Mother Board and Other Intel Chipset Mother Board.
The Price of Original Intel Board is higher and the performance is also better than Chipset Boards.
Iam not favouring LG but sincerely believe that LG should maintain Quality and not fight on Price. In todays world quality and service are the two factors to be in the market as a leader.
