Have you ever noticed some one wearing a scent of perfume and thinking how great it smells? That same perfume may not smell the same on you as the perfume mixes with your body chemicals and so it will smell slightly different on each person.
In choosing a perfume I want one that the smell will remain all day but I do not want it so over powering that it can bowl some one over. I have smelled people that had so much on it was hard being around them because it made me ill.
If you are buying a fairly good perfume you only need a little dab behind each ear, and on each wrist. This should be enough to give a nice smell but not chase anyone away with it.
I normally stick with a musky type perfume as that is my preference and usually will buy the same brand but now and then want something a bit different.
In this case I will go to a store when I have shopping to do and first go to the perfume section and pick out two that look appealing to me and spray one on each wrist then go about my shopping and see how it smells after it has been on awhile. Then you can pick the one that you like the best.
If neither one still appeals to you go to the ladies room and wash them off and try the test with two others until you find what you want.
I generally will pay no more then twenty US dollars for a small bottle of perfume but you can still get a nice scent for that amount of money.
I also buy matching body spray and some times will use this alone with out the perfume if I need a much lighter scent.
My three personal favorites are Exclamation, Malibu Musk and Midnight magic. The first two are found in the store and the last is from Avon.
If you are the type that likes shower gel, soap that is perfumed, talc and body lotion all together make sure you use all the same fragrance. Mixing fragrances can produce a really strange smell.
Have fun picking out some thing that you like and it is always uplifting to smell nice.
