My community medicine sir scolded me on eating things in class room just because it will attract insects towards it. So best thing is to clean each and every thing in which u have taken ur food. Keep all dark places of your home clean. Avoid stagnation of water in places like flower pots, old tyres, outside of ur house etc. DDT is the most effective pest control chemical. Eating in living room may attract cockroaches and ants so avoid eating in living room or at least clean your surroundings after eating.
