I live in bangalore, near AECS Brookefields area. I went for Godrej Hicare services for controlling cockroaches (intelligel) yesterday.
I have used Godrej branded products a lot (furnitures and kitchen). I believe that Godrej products are high-quality but their customer-service/delivery is horrible. This apprehension of Godrej-customer service is based on my own experience and the mouthshut-reviews. I believe the apathy in customer care arises from their franchisee model.
Well, I was pleasantly surprised this time. I did not make any phone call. I just put a query on the net. Godrej folks followed up and showed up on committed day. The person looked competent enough and was fast. He put the gel and spray as promised. The charge was 1250 and I paid by cheque. As I am a shy bargainer and non-savvy-shopper, the feeling of paying a ’standard-set-price’ is always a relief.
As Godrej-customer-service has been horrible for me in the past, I desisted from ordering the yearly contract. I stuck to one-time treatment. I was worried that paying yearly money beforehand would put me at the mercy of the apathetic-godrej-customer-care-racket.
Regarding the effectiveness of treatment(in controlling the cockroaches), the jury is still out as it is only one day since they applied the gel/sprays.
I wrote this review to give the devil its due. At least this time, the customer service and followup was good for me.
Postscript:
I am adding this post-script after 1+ year of first-use. The godrej (now ISS) intelligel cockroach treatment did prove effective for me. I have gone for one more treatment after 1year. I desisted from taking thrice a year contract. The decision has proved good till now. Once a year has worked quite well for me.
