Lips are the most attractive features of a woman’s face. Think of a beautiful woman and right away, you will remember her eyes and her lips. Think about **Marilyn Monroe, Rekha, Aishwarya Rai**. Pouty, beautiful lips which look like cupid’s bows. They may have been gifted with lovely lips but they also have taken immense care to make their lips look really beautiful - always.
So, girls, it’s very important to take care of your lips and keep them looking stunning. First things first. Lips should be kept moisturized and NEVER allowed to dry and second, find the right lipstick. Now here is a dilemma which befuddles every woman. Which lipstick to go for? So read on to know my tips on making your lips gorgeous:

*1. Look for branded stuff *

Yes, I know that you can get local stuff for peanuts. And yes, I also know that lipstick of a reputed company like L’oreal or Revlon may create a dent in your budget. But hey, aren’t you a princess and isn’t your life a fairy tale? So go ahead and splurge but stay away from the cheap ones as they will dry your lips.

*2. Shade *

Some women(like me) go for the safe pinks and maroons but some adventurous ones go off on the deep end with imaginative metallics and purples. That’s really entirely up to you. Yet I feel, darker shades suit the Indian skin more than the light or pale ones. They define your lips more which gives a stunning contrast. A word of contrast: Don’t wear dark shades at your working place. Otherwise you’ll end up looking like a…. oh, never mind.

*3. Gloss / shimmer /matte *

This depends entirely on your personality For example, an adventurous lady would get away with shimmering lips but honey, I know I can’t pull it off. I stick to the basic mattes which look understated and subtle. In any case, maybe you can pull out your shimmers when you’re pub hopping but sweetie, gloss is a strict no-no at the working place, unless you work as a model.

*4. Crimson, hot, red, lipstick *

Be very careful here. And I mean, very careful. Do you have a personality of a siren? Can you look bewitchingly hot? Can you pull off looking like a diva? If all the answers are yes, then go ahead and buy that flaming red. But if you think that you are shy, sweet and inhibited, then don’t even experiment unless you are having an out of body experience. And by the way, I have seen many fat aunties wearing this kind of a shade and Gosh! Don’t ask me how they look! I mean, don’t get me started on that!

*5. Dark lipliner outside and light lipstick inside *

That look’s out, buddy. Long time back. Where have you been? I never liked that look even when it was in vogue. It makes a woman look like an ugly sister of Cinderella. And am I glad it’s history now. So chuck your lipliners which may give your guy some nightmares.
