We decided to take one of the package tours instead of driving down thinking it would save us some trouble. But alas! It was a nightmare. I bought 2 tickets from the proprietor (Rajendran) of Jeevitha Tours and Travels whose contact details I received from Just Dial.
Smooth talking conman who promised us everything and gave nothing. Apparently, I realized that a lot of other passengers like me had been cheated by various other agents. Modus Operandi is to take you there and dump you and you are at their mercy until you return.
These guys don’t have their buses. They are tied up with other agencies who are eventually tied up with a bus owner! When you demand an explanation, they simply wash their hands off the issue saying that this is how the package is and the agent has misguided us. On asking the agent the truth, he conveniently shifts the blame on the bus owners. No one wants to take the responsibility of passengers.
In this case Jeevitha travels was connected to Rajesh Travels through Royal Travels. Jeevitha Travels + Royal Travels = Rajesh Travels = Pathetic service + Total con job For the price that you pay, the AC is not working and the journey felt as if it was a travel in the village bus!
