Me and My Friend - I call ourselves stranded in Hyderabad - since we don’t belong here and we are unable to like this place one bit.
So, we just started from home in search of some nice place without even being knowing where we are heading to..... Lots of shopping malls, huge traffic, lots of rain, its been raining every day since last so many days..... Finally I saw a huge Titan Hoarding telling us ’’25% Off on All Watches’’. That’s a pretty cool offer.
We head towards a closest Titan Showroom, A Big Big Aamir Khan Poster Welcomes us to the Titan Shop - Mangal Pandey style.
Showroom is quite big in size with 1 Security Guard - right on the entry, at least 3 people in Cash / Credit Counter and 6 People to show you around the showroom and 2 people for Repair Section.
Half of the watches they show inside the showroom in different ads and posters are not available. Almost whatever you tend to like from a photograph is not there. Moreover they have as cheap as 500/- worth watches (They call it Sonata) and as expensive as 50, 000/- Pure Gold watches.
So, we settle down for a cool Gold Steel Watch - which looks cooler on the quite a Fat Wrist of my friend. Moreover hairs on his hands are gonna give him some problem but he is happy with that - since the steel and gold is a combination which is irresistible - I can make that with the shine in his eyes.
Watch is worth - Almost 3000/- but since the company is offering a 25% Off on all watches - it comes to 2250/- but with a condition - which was not told previously while we were choosing the watch, moreover it was our mistake that we never read the ad properly telling that you will have to come here with your old watch - whatever make they are not bothered about that.
You’ve Got To Believe This : Great thing is - the shop guys come up with a Solution, one of them asks us to give the Guard 50/- bucks and he will get us a watch - which we can give them as our Old watch and can get the offered discount, with big wide (Surprised) I hand him over the money and Guard opens the Umbrella as if he was pretty open and was waiting for that to happen. Within 5 minutes he is back with a cool looking Electronic Watch - Brand New - Black in color. Now one more problem starts - my nephew who is 2 and half year old - starts liking this new electronic watch and there is no way that you can give the same to the counter guy as old watch - here the guard goes again to get another one - phe https://
By the time the guard comes back second time, we were told that a Pan Walla has started keeping these watches Exclusively for Titan showroom - since they are offering 25% off on any watch - on production of any make old watch - they are forwarding there 100% customers to him - and he is having a good time selling electronic watches worth 50/-, I don’t know how much he makes in one watch - good for him anyways.
But I sincerely liked the dedication of the staff - making a customer get save his money. Only Tata’s Can afford doing this - I am sure.
