Welcome to the demented world of Christopher Titus, a man who believes : That which does not kill us, makes us funny ! Chris Titus has the knack of turning crappy situations into comic inspirations !
Titus is a half-hour comedy show on Star World - thursday 11pm. Its an autobiographical sitcom where Titus narrates the hilarious world of his dysfunctional family. Chris Titus has a abusive dad, insane mother & violent siblings-- surely life cannot be easy with such a family but Chris has found a way to cope with all this & since comedy is much cheaper than therapy, he’s decided to have a good laugh at life’s expense.
Meet the characters:

KEN is Titus’ dad. He’s been married & divorced not once or twice or thrice but five times! Each of his wives has fooled/cheated him & yet Ken remains to be a man who would never miss a chance to get a drink or sleep around. Ken is surely the most negative person on earth & would be the first one to crush any hopes or dreams Chris cherishes. There is nothing more Chris wants than to please his father & get his approval. But when he is sober, Ken is a noble, loving father, a caring human being who only thinks of others. Says Titus for his dad: My father’s always been mean-spirited, evil. It’s been a lot of fun. Except when his mean-spirited evilness is directed at you
DAVE is Titus’ brother from another mother & another father. He came to live with the Titus family when his mom married Ken but in a few years when she wanted to leave, Dave decided to stay with the Titus family.......... Chris says this was coz for Dave the thought of living with mom was scarier than living with Ken Titus. Dave works at Chris’s car shop and even though he is a sports junkie he is also the first one to bail out when things go wrong.
ERIN is Titus’ smart, energetic girlfriend, with a temper. Both know each other since teens & now Erin is the love of his life. Erin hates her job & is always hoping that Titus’ car business will be flourish enough for her to start with her studies. Chris says : Erin doesn’t have a bad temper........I mean we fight.......she just puts a bomb in my car
Tommy is Titus’ best friend & the only member of the group to have been raised in a loving, stable household, which makes him the black sheep of the Titus team. He is a very ’’normal’’ guy--the kind who won’t do anything that would give him a bad name or upset his parents but he would do anything for Titus. [he represents us & the society]. Since Titus comes from a more than dysfunctional family, one would think he’d be jealous of Tommy but Titus says ’’ I actually pity Tommy because belonging to a normal loving family has made him so naive that he has never experienced how to deal with any problems in life. He’s smart, over-educated, loyal and trusting--he doesn’t stand a chance
Chris Titus has lived with his hard-drinking father who was married five times, which means Chris was raised in five broken homes. His mother, Ken’s first wife, was a manic-depressive schizophrenic, which means Christopher was raised by five broken personalities. She now resides in a mental care facility. Life is complicated & humans can never be perfect, at least not in Titus’ family.
In the show, Titus’ shares with us his quirky philosophies of life, which help him create comedy out of tragedy, together with his mad group of family n friends.

My Word :
I would recommend this show to all those who enjoy watching something different than mushy/sobby stories. This is a different comedy show coz its easy to make funny shows where we have cute kids n weird situations but this show has an all grown up cast.....who is yet to grow up, which make every episode worth watching.
Even though I don’t belong to a dysfunctional family, I love this show coz there are so many other things I can relate to & I absolutely adore Titus’ philosophies. No one is allowed to talk when I watch this show coz u never know when Mr. Titus would give away a precious note on life. The last one I loved was:
If you love something enough, set it free.
If it comes back, it isn’t worthy of you.
If it doesn’t,
then it’s just like all your other miserable relationships
