Director Narayan Singh has directed Toilet - Ek Prem Katha truly to to make publicity of the Swachh Bharat Mission of PM Modi ji. He has mixed a true story of Maharatra with the swachh mission to present a social commedy film
The film fully centered around the character Keshab played by Akhshay Kumar. He is a village boy. At the age of 36 he could not marriage. To overcome his badluck his father arranged marriage of Keshab with a cow. But keshab obviously does not want to accept a cow as his wife. He falls in love with a city girl Jaya played by Bhumi. Their love resulted to marriage. But after the immediate night of honeymoon , Jaya came to know there in no toilet in his inlaws house.Though Jaya did not leave his inlaws house but protested for not having toilet in the house. Atfirst Keshab did not try to listen to Jayas protest and tried to manage by taking Jaya to train toilet . But later on he also realised the value of toilet and joined Jaya for the protest and ultimately the won against the villagers and built toilet. This is the story all about.
Akshay kumar was good as usual as a comic character. Bhumi had no broad role to play. The comic scenes and social message has made the film entertaining. The songs are good not so catchy.
If you want to be entertained go to watch Toilet-ek prem katha.
