Toilet ek prem katha is a Bollywood film which released in India on 11th July 2017 in cinema halls across the country. I was lucky to grab a ticket of its first day first show.
The film has been directed by Shree Narayan Singh, produced & distributed by viacom 18 motion pictures.
I watched the film in RDB cinemas, sector 5, saltlake, Kolkata & now I am sharing my opinion about the film.
Plot
The story has been written by the writers Siddharth & Garima. The story is based in a rural village of Uttar Pradesh. A boy of the village named Keshav ( Akshay) tries to impress an educated & liberal girl Jaya ( Bhumi) of the neighborhood village but forgets to tell her that there is no toilet in his house. This forms a matter of worry for Jaya & she files a divorce against Keshav. Now Keshav goes against all odds of the family & villagers & takes an oath to put up a toilet in his house so that he can bring back his wife. The villagers & his family thinks that toilet should not be there in the house in which lord is worshipped. Story goes on & at last Keshav is able to make a toilet & brings back Jaya.
Performance
All actors are good. Akshay Kumar is indeed & fine actor but Bhumi needs to improve a bit because sometimes her acting is loud & too exaggerated. We can also enjoy Anupam Kher in role of a naughty uncle. Dibyendu Sharma & Sana Khan are also there in the film in supporting roles.
Music
Songs has been written & composed by Vickey Prasad, Manas Shikhar & sachet parampara. Background scores has been composed by Surender Sodhi. The songs like has mat pagli & gori tu lath mar are worth listening.
Cinematography
Cinematography has been done by Anshuman Mahaley. The direction & camera work are fine & appreciable.
