Good model of great architecture

The tomb of Akbar the great is an important Mughsl architectural masterpiece. It is built in 1605 - 1613 and located in Agra, India .

The tomb is aesthetically pleasing to watch and is indeed one of the most beautiful tombs along with Tajmahal and Humayun’s tomb . The only set back is the distance from the city . The most remarkable feature of the tomb is southern gate which is the main entrance of the tomb .This a tall gate with four white marble minartes .The tomb is built with red sandstone . The entrance leads a spacious compound with greenery of both side .It was amazing to watch lot of peacock and herd of deer grazing on the grass near by. As it is not close to city the atmosphere is very peaceful here, I think that may be the reason , that Akbar built this beautiful tomb here . so if you are planning to visit Agra .must visit once here .
