Comfortably Numb

This one is tougher than I thought. I requested opinions on this because I’ve been listening to a lot of psychedelic rock nowadays and I really appreciate the pathbreaking work that has been done here. The dictionary definition of psychedelic rock goes like this:

A musical style that emerged in the mid-1960s; rock music inspired by or related to drug-induced experience

Considering the plethora of highly regarded bands who have dabbled in psychedelia, it has led to the making of very experimental and creative music. To clarify a nagging doubt that some of you may have about this genre, it is not really necessary to take drugs to appreciate this music. It’s basically rock with a twist.things like backmasking, strange sounds and stream of consciousness https://lyrics.

Here’s my list(it’s not in any order):

Album Name: Band/Artist Name

Sergeant Pepper’s Lonely Heart’s Club Band: The Beatles

Won’t You Miss Me(The best of): Syd Barrett

Forever Changes: Love

The Dark Side of the Moon: Pink Floyd

After Bathing at Baxter’s: Jefferson Airplane

The Doors: The Doors

White Album: The Beatles

The Notorious Byrd Brothers: The Byrds

The Best of Traffic: Traffic

The Best of Lemonheads: Lemonheads. *

A friend of mine highly recommends Floyd’s Pipers at the Gates of Dawn. I’ve still not given it a proper listening. All the albums I have recommended are from the late 60’s. Moreover I have been forced to droput a few albums which would make it easily if not for my own personal taste. Some of them are:

Abbey Road: The Beatles

The Best Of CCR Vol 1: Credence Clearwater Revival

and some others whose name I can’t recall right now. I have heard of some other bands who tried this experimental form in the 90’s too.one of them being XTC. I’m not into heavy metal so if anyone can suggest albums that belong to both these genres then that’ll be great!
