Bright sunny weather with cool breeze, wake up early in the morning to visit the Lake Ontario. Can a morning be more beautiful than this? I don’t think so. Being in Toronto feels so wonderful that one would not like to leave this place. It has an ambience of a metro city with lot of nature around. Perfect city planning! Lake Ontario surrounds the city make the temperature cooler and giving an opportunity to take a cruise, sail and take your boat for a ride. A small airport in the lake makes the lake look more wonderful when seen from above. A beautiful garden surrounds the airport as well where one can do many activities like walking, jogging, bicycle riding and one can park their private boats near the shore as well. One hour cruise runs in the lake by which one can take a look at the skyline and specially the C N Tower.
Apart from the lake, I think Toronto is more famous for the tallest building in the world. The C N Tower. The elevator takes you up to the observation deck which has different levels. Elevator has windows facing the Lake Ontario and thus one can get a wonderful view of the lake and start thinking, how would someone have built a structure like this ? Once you get down from the elevator, at this level one can see all around of the Toronto through a mesh. It’s quite windy outside and would recommend you to carry a jacket in case you are going in early summer. Inside the tower at this level, one can see a great example of Civil Engineering; glass flooring. Although the glass flooring may not appeal you initially, one might get thrilled to walk on it when you are about 150 stories high and can see straight down to the ground. It’s scary in the beginning but one feels okay after a while. This is a favorite picture spot of all the visitors. So, don’t forget to take a camera and lie down on the floor so that you can capture the ground in the background. Sounds exciting, isn’t’ it?
If you climb one level up, it will take you to an observation deck which is covered by glass all around at the eye level. This is a best place to see all around the Toronto city. In first impression, Toronto does not seem to be as populated but one has to change his first impression after looking at the city spread from this level. This level of the deck gives you an opportunity to have a better view of the airport and garden that I mentioned above. It feels wonderful to be in the world’s tallest building.
One level up there is a revolving restaurant which is booked almost all the time over the weekend. So in case you plan to have a lunch at this restaurant, make reservations ahead of time.
Few other attractions are parliament building, city hall building also known as Sky Eye because the way three buildings are located and look like an eye from sky. I would recommend you not to forget your camera, light jacket and of course lot of time to spend. If you are traveling from US, you need to carry your valid passport and other immigration documents. It is also advisable to carry Canadian dollars from USA. It is a perfect destination to travel.
