Hey guys I bought this hard disk from an online market place for almost 3800 and I also bought a cover for this hard disk it costed me 250.I bought the cover because some people in online reviews advised to get a cover as it has a weak body. The delivery for very swift and I got the hard disk in 3 days. The packaging was very good and I was satisfied with the delivery. I used the hard disk for little school work liking copying pdf files and some word documents.
The hard disk worked for that type of use the only problem with it was the poor plastic covering on the hard disk. This plastic covering makes it look very cheap and the hard disk appears to be very delicate. The device lacks durability and might easily break in one or two falls. The hard disk uses USB 3.0 that is a very strong point as it can give very high copying speeds. So basically I used it for small storage only about 50 gb. But then in my summer vacation I gave it to one of my friends to copy some games, television series and movies. He did it and that was around 200 gb or so.
The copying took around 3-4 hours and my friend told me that the hard disk got so hot that he had to remove it just to minimise the chances of damaging the hard disk. So another day I also used the hard disk for 2 hours and really it got a bit too hot. So I called the customer service and they said that it was fine because some times the hard disk may get warm due to over use. I also showed it to another computer store guy near my house and he advised me to get a padding for it. This heating issue has occured a few more times because of which I could not use it for very heavy copying of stuff. So I decided to give it my little brother. So guys if you are also heavy gamers, movie buffs or big time television series buff then I would not recommend this hard disk to you.This hard disk does not work very well if you copy a lot of stuff or you have an old computer with LESS RAM that may take extra time in copying stuff. Even if you buy this hard disk you will have to get a covering inly to protect the hard disk from falls. You can go for western digital hard disk I have also bought it and it has a better covering.
