Hi All, For the last 3 weeks I am in bangalore for a new official assignment. Since today is the last day staying in Bangalore, before leaving I planned to buy something for my wife and son.
I went to Total Mall in Sarjapur road because one of my colleagues said, I can get good Salwars and Chudi’s for women in a reasonable price. She recommended me’ Good Things’ in Total mall. I travelled from Electronic City to Sarjapur via Madivala. The roads are vey bad, we cannot complain to anyone as bridge constructions are happening all over there. There were not much buses to that place also.
so I boarded auto after agreeing 100/- rs for 6 km distance.
Once I reach there, the mall was too good compared with other Total Malls. I find this place calmer and peaceful. There was not much crowd. This makes me to window-shop casually in a relaxed walk.
After a search, I found’ Good things’ in the ground floor. I was impressed with the way the franchise was decorated with lights and Discount posters. But after I started looking for chudis and salwars I got my disappointed. There were not enough collections and Good Things sells only cotton material and its exhorbitantly priced. A tops costed 600/- Rs, that too I am not happier with the quality of the material, very thin.anyone who uses it thrice, it will tear off. Since I have come a long way and no time to go for another mall, , I convinced myself to buy 1 set. After deap search, I took one, and asked the store keeper for shawls and pants for the tops. They gave me one saying, will be the best match to wear. After seeing those, .i got frustated.even the shawls and pants are equally priced to tops.
Without atmost sense of dissatisfaction, I picked it and went to counter for billing and I promptly remembered him for discount. I was politely refused that discounts will be given only when we buy the silk products.To my view, I couldnt find any silk items there.Thought this should be a good tactic for the shop keepers for inviting people.
After getting my bag, I started exploring Total Mall. I went to level 1 and level 2. I was surprised to have variety of products in a reasonable price. Infact I regretted buying clothes from Good things, after I saw a beautiful salwar in good material less than what I have purchased with Good Things.
Not only Salwars, I found lot toys, mens wear etc. I found the Home decor items are very good. I bought a cool olive flowered bed spread, which I loved at first sight at a cheaper price from Century textiles.
So its not worth to travel to Total Mall, Sarjapur, just to buy from Good things.
