Since its renovation, we have been regulars at Total Mall, Old Airport Road. For the past few months, we have noticed that the service and products are deteriorating.
The staff are ill-trained at customer service, and at times, have no clue of the products at their end.I have an unpleasant experience at rudeness personified for mistake committed by the staff itself. This was at the food counter-and was given wrong items.
When I pointed out the mistakes, she literally grabbed my copy of the bill (her copy being with her!), glared at me, and re-started packing food. I asked for a supervisor-but none around or in hiding!
Beware when buying fish-the time-tested theory of checking if fish is fresh by pressing to see the firmness-does not apply to the frozen fish. So much of ice is added on top of the fish that the fish always appears firm! I was cheated out of Rs1700/- having bought iced fish-and all the fish was stinking the next day when defrosted!
The last straw was when the girl at the check-out counter swiped my card 5 times, in spite of protests. She had no clue about the new chip credit cards.
I have since stopped visiting Total Mall .
