I have been a regular customer at Total mall on HAL Airport Raod because it is closer to my home. I have bought a bean bag for Rs.699. After stepping out of the main store, I saw a plexy advertisement hanging out side their furniture store on 1st floor that said offer price is Rs.599 for this item. I went to the customer care desk and asked them to refund me the Rs.100 difference in the price. The customer care person told me that it is not shown in the advertisement book. I took him to the furniture store and showed him the advertisement. After coming back to the customer service desk, they had further talks on phone and refused to do anything about. When I asked for their supervisor to come down to the customer care desk, someone came and he asked me to show the advertisement. When I took him to the furniture store where the advertisement was there, by that time they has silently removed the plexi hanging from the sealing and kept it inside. When I asked them to bring out the removed plexi they did bring it out. After almost 30 mins of talking to supervisor and his supervisor three levels up, I made it clear to them that I am no longer interested in the Rs.100. I asked them either they give an apology in writing for their mistake or else I will complain in the consumer forum for false advertising and cheating customers. They told me to go ahead and lodge a complaint.
Customer service is very bad. Do not expect them resolving any issues in your favour.
I read posts by other customers who were treated very badly and one customer had to give in writing that he had shoplifted when he had accidentally not billed Rs.35 worth items, this is apart from paying Rs.350 for two biscuit packets worth Rs.35. If I had seen the other post earlier, I would not have left the store without getting their apology in writing. I guess Total mall does not care about customer loyalty. Anyone who has read this post, I urge them to hold Total mall to account when ever a mistake happens on their part and is not resolved reasonably. Ask them to give in writing.
