How to reach: From bandra rly station, catch a rickshaw to pali naka or ambedkar road. The place right opposite to pali residency.
Before you enter this place be sure about what you are expecting from it. If you want to have some drinks with your friends or office colleagues, wouldn’t mind about the ambience with crowded atmosphere with music which starts with popular rock (Bon jovi types ..) to goes to something thrash (DJ plays it mostly after midnite) and love beers after beers and good food then this place should be for you and your friends.
Ambience: Congested for any new comer (gets crowdy after 8:30) however if you know totos and you enter to see crowd its like home. You come across same set of people hanging around. All types...offices goers with formals, college kids in shorts, few celebrities sometimes, firangis etc. The place is made to look like a garage which gives it a different look. There are two main sections, one section has the bar counter and is the most crowdy, music happens to be louder in this section. You should forget about getting tables or having comfortable zone because in a min. you are expected to get pushed and moved over 10 times. (no pun intended). no dance floor here ..its pub, and you r actually dancing when pushed and gushed around (pun intended!) You will wonder why ppl still turn around this place. Mostly ppl who come are the loyal ones and it has this home like feeling (no table manners and all ppl are around with their langotiya friends!) :P
Food:- Food is good, must try is ...
Non-Veg: starters:- chicken cheese omlette, meat balls in mushroom sauce, chicken saute, burji pav. main course:- chicken straganoff (a mushroom sauce with chicken pieces over bed of rice)
Veg:- not much into veg however I liked veg spring rolls and paneer chilly.
Service:- expect the least. You will find them pushing and running around (I have never seen waiters pushing you around to go ahead!) If you order food, order much before in advance because it is going to take time! trust me on that. The most fastest service is the pitchers and the pines (go figure!). Make sure you become friends and regularly tip of some of them because it is going to be handy (very handy). say hi to the guy wearing dark glasses and roaming around; he is the boss.
Music:- if you enter before 10 pm, its going to be popular music or rock ballads or pop-rock. After that you can expect good old rock, alt-rock, alt-metal, metal, heavy metal and sumtimes thrash.
I go to TOTOS, coz its home like feeling with old friends you can meet up with and also becoz of music. There are other places but I, my friends would rather visit this place only becoz they play good old rock. Other places in bandra dont play as heavier as this guy can play. 1 suggestion, never visit totos more than once in a week coz the DJ plays the same playlist the whole week! And yes...no song requests accepted.
