I had a pathetic experience with Cocokerala last weekend. It was a cochin-kumarkom-alleppey package.The cab and the driver were good. The hotel in kumarkom was selected by me (lemon tree) , so apparently it was good. The house boat experience was pathetic. The provider was Minar d’Lake. The single bed room boat was badly maintained with dirty floors, ants in the bed and bathroom bolt that didn’t work properly. The worst situation was when we found ants in the rice during dinner !
Instead of enjoying the house boat stay I was making calls to the boat owner and cocokerala for providing this kind of service. I have demanded a refund of some amount and they are willing to refund only 1500 ! . That too is pending since 1 week. I am running behind them making callis everyday !!!!!! If you wish to do package tours, I would suggest go for MakemyTrip or Yatra. They are more reliable, even if a bit expensive, you can atleast end up with a good experience for the money and time that you spend.
