Buy on DVD, its the best ever!

If you own a DVD player, its well worth paying the extra few £’s for the DVD, as it holds loads of extra features, such as character features and the people who do the voices such as Tom Hanks and Tim Allen all make an appearance in the extras part. And that not only why you should buy the DVD version, it not only looks razor sharp, colours look unbelievably impressive, and the stereo sound is fantastically separated.

To get the best from the DVD you’ll need a widescreen TV, or normal TV, which you can change the screen size to 16:9 or 1.77:1 ratios giving black borders to make a widescreen image in proper dimensions.

The first intro sequence is breath taking, bass has pure raw power and special sound effects take you away to another world. I was very impressed when Buzz is flying down into the planet and the bluey green colour blends into the black dark of space with brilliant contrast. Even the computer-generated characters can look almost life like, and the warm glowing sun cast over the bodies with great colours. You can even listen in full Dolby 5.1 surround, and this is even more impressive, as at one point it clearly shows: a huge concrete pine knock over a lamp post, and the rear speakers light up giving you and image of what happening behind the camera.

The story takes you around the City, cars and people all play a part, and they’re loads of nice touches in the story. Comedy is twice as funny as the first and even the little jokes and funny movements of all characters make it on of the best I have ever seen. There’s new characters introduced, including Barbie, and the arched enemy of Buzz, Zurg. Plus the sneaky collector, and the full of life Jessie and Bullseye.

So if you can buy the DVD, it packs all the story and comedy of the VHS, and has clearer images, which will test the best of TVs for contrast and colour reproduction, as well as a great story. Plus has all the extras including the first movie Pixel Studios produced. I tell you, you need to see this film, and everything is perfect. Only one thing I have found is when the collector falls asleep and the TV is on, then the Cowgirl, Jessie, supposedly turns back on the TV.
