I am a corolla owner...da new corolla dat is...da one which comes with the LED rear lamps...I read the review which was posted by a person who claims himself to be a prospective buyer of the New Corolla...
Now firstly, I would like to say that the price factor which has been mentioned by the person about whom I had said above....is absolutely trash!
One can never comment on the price of the corolla...now saying this I have plenty of reasons...one of the immediate reasons which comes to my mind is the skoda octavia rider petrol...now da rider is priced at 13 lakhs onroad...and the car has no disc brakes at the rear...no alloy wheels...no foglamps...and as far as the interior is concerned...the rider has no cd changers and no wood garnishing in the centre console...and further it has only 4 speakers...now corolla H2 which I have has all the features which I mentioned about the octavia rider not having..also plenty of features which the octavia elegance even doesnt have...like the LED rear lamps...auto headlamps...and so on!
the corolla is priced at a similar onroad price...this should indicate to everyone that the pricing of the corolla is spot on...and then you get the amazing reliability factor with the toyota batch on the bonnet!
further as regards the magazines commenting on the pros and cons of the corolla...well overdrive has been saying the fact with exactness to a certain limit about the ride quality of the corolla...now, the corolla which was launched way back in 2003 had a very busy ride and that was due to the suspension which wasnt that great...
the new corolla has revised dampers with a jacked up suspension which solves the ride quality issue...to be extremely precise the New Corolla uses ETA beam suspension which is an all India suspension...now thanks to the new suspension at the rear the ride quality of the corolla is far better in the broken city roads...quality of ride on the highway was always amazing...so it remains the same way!
Toyota Corolla is a very good car to have and maintain...now I say this in view of the other cars in the class like the octavia and optra! The octavia is a very good car upfront but lacks miserably in the features department...
finally to end up my whole review...i would want to say that the toyota corolla is a very good car and though this review of mine came up as a reaction to the review which was posted by someone who claims himself to be a prospective buyer of the corolla...it gave me a lot of pleasure writing about such an amazing car!
Reaching 0-100 in a little above the 8.5 secs mark was as exhilarating as it can get...i have achieved this feat myself...so I know how amazing it feels to drive the new Corolla...so all those who love themselves to indulge in taking the fast lane to success...move forward with the toyota corolla!
