I brought the Etios Liva Petrol(V variant) two months back. The considerations I made were 1)Good fuel economy 2) Interiors Spacing 3)Good resale value being the Toyota brand 4) Easy availability of parts(my earlier car was Opel Corsa whose part replacement was a pain due to it being a phased-out version of GM).
Of all these counts, Liva lives well upto expectations for most. The mileage initially was 15 kmpl(AC off). But after the first service and 1200 km later I could peak upto 18.45 kmpl(it is what company claimed). You can rely on for 17-18 kmpl mileage
Ample Interior spacing, Boot space(290 liters) and legroom comfort are quite a value for money in its segment. Also most importantly the ground clearance is really good (170 mm) as many cars in the segment lack this.Suspension is good to absorb small bumps and shocks.
Now on the cons part of it
1)The dashboard interior could have been better(especially for G or G(sp) version it looks unattractive). The interior aesthetics needs improvement
2)For music system in my V variant, I had to purchase USB separately, which could have been a part of it.
3) On highway drive, sometimes after braking on 3rd/4th gear, I found that the car is way sluggish on accelerating again(this wasnt the case with my corsa).
Conclusion:- A great car as far as mileage and spacing is concerned. Good idea to buy it if that is your consideration
