The new Toyota’s beast Fortuner is not upto the mark as expected. The exterior looks good and now a days the exterior most of the SUV’s is as much better. There is no such cool features for a vehicle priced at 34 lakhs. When it comes to the interiors, its pretty good or can say an average rating, especially the plastic fitting and the UI of the music player.
The Fortuner has got an enormous amount of space in terms of the legroom and headroom, but it lags when comes to the third row seats.
The performance of the engine is massive as it is the real beast on road. But compared to the previous model fortuner in terms of power and cc it again lags. Then the other disadvantage is for the automatic versions, as it lags a bit in transferring the power in sudden situations. The fuel economy is only an average of about 10kmpl in highways.
The suspension is again average, excpected a better response from the vehicle. There is a bit lag in the vehicle accelerating full speed.
The comfort is also not soo good because of the rough suspension and the vehicle is mainly an off-road one.
The vehicle is suitable only for the people’s who are a hardcore fans of toyota as the maintenance cost is too low and the service cost too. In my opinion Ford Endevour is a better option in this SUV segment as compared to fortuner and it is also offered at very competitive price.
