Perfect MUV. U wont find a competion till 25 Lacs+

When I first saw this car first time, I was quick to give my opinion that this will be a super flop car. I was quite amazed as to why uncle bought 3 of these. When I first drove this car, I wasnt happy at all. Specially the A pillar obstructing the view, so after driving for a km or 2 I switched back to another seat.

I owned a Scorpio SLX and wasnt quite happy with the handling of this car. So when I decided to buy a new car in Dec 2008, I had Safari and Innova in my mind though my budget was 20 Lacs bcoz of no other option. I had to buy a seven seater and CRV, Outlander, Grand Vitara are 5 seaters, so I struck them out of my list. The only option left was Endeavour and Pajero. I wasnt too interested in the old age Pajero and Endeavour is all hype. No creature comfort and last row seats are just for kids.

Anyways I went for Innova after thorough research of maintenance, fuel efficiency, comfort and space.

I got a good bargain as the new Innova was to be launched in Jan 2009. Got 50, 000 worth of free goodies. So went for DVD, Screen, Fog lights, Side skirts and Covers on my 2.5 G model

The dealer were really nice and assisted in whatever questions and queries I had with patient mind and a happy face. I was really satisfied with the experience.

My first drive was a bit awkward as I was still getting used to A pillar obstruction view and also bcoz u cant see the bonnet, so u just have to make a guess about the size of this car.

As I kept on driving, I felt confidence and hit 160 kmph mark which was the cars limit. I was amazed at the handling for this size of a car and was really happy. The turn radius is excellent and though its long car, I really love driving it in cities as well. My poor Fiesta must be cursing this car, as I rarely drive it now even after 11 months of ownership.

The interior quality is top notch and so are the fittings and trims. Though I am really unhappy as to why Toyota people charge so much still they dont give u some basic accesories for a 10 lakh car. Just a plain digital ODOmeter. No switches for side view mirror adjustment. I mean it feels quite awkward sitting in a 10 lakh car and adjusting the side mirrors with bare hand. Even my 6 lakh Fiesta has got manual mirror adjustments.

I also wish the car was a bit higher in terms of ground clearance as it easily kisses the speed breakers on full family load.

The gearshift is smooth like butter and engine isnt noisy enough. I do love the oodles of space this car has and perfect place car for a 5+ people family, be it  a shopping spree or a weekend break.

I would highly recommend this car to anyone looking for Quality and Comfort in 7 seater catagory. Take my words, u wont find a better car in 18 lakh price bracket.
