No lights on alarm

There is no lights on alarm. something you get used to since 1973!! the first day I drove it, it was raining, during the day. I put my lights on, and forgot to shut them when I left the car. No Beep Beep Beep.

Toyota confirmed, they eliminated the Beep Beep on that model and others.

I bought an after-market part from JC WHITNEY, ("lights on alarm" $10) that attaches to the Instrument panel fuse in the FUSE BOX and BUZZES when you leave your lights on. I don’t do ANY mechanical work. Not even that. For one thing, I did not even know where the fuse box is.

Toyota wanted to charge me $89 (1 hour) to attach it. I told them to take the car back. It was 10 days old, with only 250 miles on it. but I was serious. Take it back.

After calling my bank to try to get out of the loan, and Toyota’s main office, and many calls to the dealer.. Toyota attached the buzzer FREE!! (less than 10 minutes)

Now my car makes an obnoxious BUZZ, and I am happy.
